Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. [Ps. 46: 10] “Be still, and know that I am God.” With the knowledge of this blessed truth we can be calm in time of trouble. There are storms blowing outside today. We are living in a mean old world, a wicked world. Tremendous changes are taking place. There are even convulsions in nature today. He tells us to be calm in the time of storm. Christ, you remember, was in a storm with His disciples, and He went to sleep. When they roused Him from His sleep, He had more trouble calming the disciples than He had calming the storm. Many of us are like those men. We don’t know what it is to wait patiently before Him. This is a psalm that will be a great blessing in the future, but it also is a comfort and a blessing for all of God’s people today. -J. Vernon McGee-

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free [John 8: 31–32]. Faith alone saves, but the faith that saves is not alone. It will produce something. After a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, he will want to “continue in His Word.” The proof of faith is continuing with the Savior. The truth shall make you free. The truth is that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. He is the Truth. First we come to Him as our Savior. Then as we go on with Him, we know by experience that we are free. We are free from the penalty of sin—we don’t need to lie awake at night worrying about going to hell. He doesn’t even ask us to live the Christian life. He asks us to trust Him and let Him live His life through us. When we yield to Him, we are free. -J. Vernon McGee-

What a blessing it was to have Laura Stauffaacher as our guest speaker for our 2019 Ladies Conference at Beth Haven Baptist church. We would like to thank all our ladies from our church for the help and prayers that were put together for this occasion. We would also like to thank Mrs.Morrow for putting the program together and leading on the songs.

One minor correction from my last message Cormier actually runs east and west

To those attending Beth Haven Baptist Church this morning you will need to come up Cormier from either the south or the north to Ridge Rd. and then you’ll have clear passage to the church. This is due to the marathon but don’t let this small obstacle keep you from attending the Lord’s house this morning.

Our kids at Beth Haven did an amazing job at Student convention. We are so proud of them. Rebecca and Stacie took first place in their dramatic dialogue. Sean Godmere and Stacie took first in their poems. Rebecca took 2nd in her poem. Our students had many more awards and placements. We are so proud of them.

We are excited to host our third annual Ladies Conference here at Beth Haven Baptist Church. Our theme this year is “So let the Son shine in”. Laura Stauffacher from Berean Baptist Church in Gallesville, Wisconsin will be our special speaker this year. There is no cost for this event and we would be honored for all ladies 12 years old and up to come and join us on Saturday, June 29 from 9:30am-3:00pm. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served but no nursery will be provided. Please RSVP the number of ladies attending when you know, last minute attendees will be more than welcome as well.
